Origamics is a series of ceramic tiles and vases. The shapes are derived from origami patterns that were first made using folded paper and foils and then transferred onto ceramic. The ceramic obtains the optical impression of the paper after this process. The formation of light and shadow effects give the objects optical depth. Minor changes in the ambient light reveals the vast potential of the origami structures, altering the appearance of the object completely and thus creating diverse and interesting results.
